Another day in paradise..the gods are shining on us today..big blue skies around 80 degrees and lots of sunshine. mmmm smell that fresh aire……YEE…HAW
Picked up the banner I had made for my show tent today….it looks awesome if I do say so my self…. found some more nice colored 7/4 and 5/4 blue board from a local business..which I will be turning into some stools for sure and whatever other things come up or I can dream up…In the sanding stages of the large blue board picture frame for a customer..smaller picture frames and lots of different size cribbage boards…laminated hickory/walnut cutting board…all in different stages of production. It is hard to stay on track with such a beautiful day in progress…but I will try….I hear my shop calling me so until the blog calls me back.
Well another quiet wet Memorial Day in northwest Montana. As it seems to be typical for this area it has been cloudy and rainy here with a tease of sunshine thrown in for good measure. Wet is good i suppose because it is turning very green and the Beargrass is beginning to set their buds and spread their blooms. It looks like it could be a good year if the weather holds
Someone asked me the other day if I missed the park…..My reply was “I miss the park and being a part of the park a lot and most of the people I worked with and was a go to person for. I know a lot of folks counted on me for the answers they needed and now they have nothing because no one cares enough to deal with the idiots. That makes me sad and disappointed in the powers to be, because in the long run we all lose. It is a sad state when the incompetent (A lack of intelligence, or inability to do simple tasks.) are encouraged and the good employees are put aside because the powers to be are so wrapped up in their own adjendas that they lose track of the good folks helping them. Part of my exiting comments were “It is truely amazing that the National Park Service had a dedicated career employee who suddenly decides to retire at the young age of 56 and no one cared enough to try and find out what was going on.” So once again management score a point and the general citizen loses. Perhaps someday I will understand..but I am not holding my breath. Ok enough ranting….as for me it is onward and upward.
Wood chips are flying in the shop with lots of projects in the process. Orders are surfacing and life is good. As normal when I get some good photos I will post them here. For now go to my photos where I have photos for sale with picture frames and a lot more to add as time permits.
Take care and have a great day….
Another glorious day in paradise…Today is keep on keeping on day…a little web site work early morning…a little outside work before it heats up and now some shop work…Todays projects include finishing up more cribbage boards…laying out a bread board for glue up….getting a mat for a photo I am framing….nonstop here in paradise….you gotta love it I do!!..

Splinters is now in his third week of freedom and loving every second of it. Busy being creative in the shop. Yesterday took a few hours off and went into the park with visiting FIL. It was awesome…one thing I hardly ever got to do when I was working for the park was actually get out and enjoy the park. I will definitely make more days like yesterday happen on a regular basis.
Greeting on a gloriously beautiful day…too nice a day to be inside but have work to get done…..enjoy the following photo along with me…

Today the planets must have lined up…. May 6, 2007… 5,6,7
What a beautiful day in paradise……
Wow I want to be in Two Med….
Gosh look what we been missing in Goat Haunt…
Well it is another glorious day here in these Northwest Mountains of Montana. Getting some rain last nite and today…so a dark cloudy day as far as the visual goes…..however the solitude and the spirit of the woods is alive and well. It is great to be free of the controling fingers and to be my own boss. Why is it that a lot of folks are only interested in their own agendas and dont care about what their employees think or what they can contribute? I am so thankful to be free and I feel sorry for them..because what comes around will go around and they will pay for their ignorance. Peace be with you in whatever you do….excuse me while I touch the clouds…
