Greeting .. Got the ok yesterday from the doctor to get rid of crutches and boot as long as I had good support for my ankle. Four weeks ago was when it happened, sure glad it is healing fast.. Took the kayak out today with special pair of water boots to give me that added support along with a special ace brace on ankle. Tried to drive today but didnt feel comfortable yet.. so will take it easy and not push the plan….Walking again was a real experience. Took a while to get sort of use to it again.

Greetings… The work week rolls on with visitor inquiries and visitation rolling right along.. Just had a thunderboomer roll through with some rain… we will take it.. all the moisture we can get.. Foot is slowing moving on.. seems better each day.. just hard not to be not very mobile

Greetings….Just had a wonderful week with daughter,son-in–law and two wonderful grandsons.. Even though I wasn’t moving very fast I still had a great time with them…. Speaking of moving fast.. went back to doc on friday and was told I have two more weeks on these crutches and another four? more weeks in the boot cast…. At least it seems to be healing well and I can take the boot off to shower……Had beautiful weather with warm days and cool nights…… Once I get rid of the crutches I hope to get in my kayak for a float…… yippe can’t wait…..

We got to camp and spend the day near Lake McDonald with daughter and hubby with two neat grandsons. What a beautiful day….. It is a tough job but we will try and deal with it.. Each day is a little bit better for my ankle… Today I got to soak it in the lake…. felt great….Tomorrow back to the work house and see how it goes…….Have a great day!!!

Greeting from another nice day..we just had a thunderstorm roll through but now it is sunny again with some of the heat and humidity gone.

Not that anyone asked for photo proof of my ankle, but I will post them anyhow. The Doctor was more positive during my visit yesterday. He felt there was only one clean break in an area where the break is typically a spiral break. So instead of a cast he put me in a velcro boot which I can take off to shower…Makes for a much more tolorable situation. I have to go back next friday for reexam to check progress. I am still hoping to still get some kayaking and hiking in this summer.
pretty gross huh….ok thats enough..I’ll suffer in silence for now..

Have a great rest of the day and a safe and sane fourth of July…. I intend to enjoy it with family who are on the road as i type… until again..c’ya
