Time marches quickly and Spring is rapidly approaching…some sure sign of spring is sighting of bear tracks and the begining of the plowing of the Going to the Sun Road which starts next Monday….could be an interesting spring with the heaviest snowpack in a while and the most moisture content in a long while…pictures are available on the park website of the Logan Pass area one week ago… Hang on the party is just begining…

Greetings from the gateway on this beautiful first day of spring…It is sunny…blue skies…and crisp….still have lots of snow on the ground…however it is slowly disappearing…soon spring will really be here and I for one am ready……..take care and have a great day…..
Welcome from these northwest Montana woods…Cool again this morning…no new snow and daytime temps are begining to rise…causing the roads to start melting off where the snow and ice has built up over the winter..There are a number of sucker holes(patches of blue sky) showing….so perhaps it will be a nice day…no other big news currently….have a great day……
This morning broke around 3 degrees with a clear sky and no wind….the sun came up and it is a beautiful sunny cold day…brrrrr….
Greetings from this sunny snowy part of the world.
As I posted last week…I was called to report for jury duty. This experience has left me with a lot of unanswered questions, which at some point I will get answered and hope to hear other folks opinions on.
Briefly I will give a short rundown of….
They had first granted me a wavier to not go but called at last minute and told me to report. I reported as directed and after some initial briefings I was one of the lucky 28 to be selected in the first round. From that point the Judge proceeded to question us each extensively about a lot of things. Imploring us to be honest with our answers. I was selected number 22 and he started with number 1 with his questions. so by the time it got to me I had heard a lot of different questions and different answers…not sure of what was to come. He got to me and asked his questions of which i gave him honest blunt answers…even knowing it wasnt what he wanted to hear. Long story short I was not one of the lucky 12 to be picked to sit the jury…..It has left me puzzled to this great system we have here. We were told they wanted straight honest answers ..and how we were to view the trial and then proceeded to say they (judge and lawyers) had decided what they would show us as evidence so as to ensure a speedy trial. One of my main questions is/was if we are to make decisions about someones life….how fair is it for the powers to be to guide the direction they want the trial to go.. They went so far as to tell us that we could not consider anything which wasnt presented by them….kind of scary to think of that kind of power. Didnt/doesn’t sound very fair to me…. Anyone have any thoughts or similiar experiences?
